Nach Westen! Ransom, ein junger Anwalt von der Ostküste will sein Glück in der rauen Welt der Cowboys suchen. Unterwegs wird er Opfer eines Überfalls und landet ramponiert in dem Städtchen Twotrees, dessen Bürger die Angst vor Liberty Valance umtreibt, jenem Banditen, dem Ransom selbst zum Opfer gefallen ist. Doch der Anwalt lässt sich nicht einschüchtern und leitet mit Bildung, Gesetz und Wahlen eine neue Zeit ein. Das Duell um Macht und Recht hat begonnen. Welcher Held wird gewinnen? Hakan Savaş Mican findet in der Erzählung von Dorothy M. To the west! Ransom, a young lawyer from the East Coast, wants to try his luck in the harsh world of the cowboys. On the way, he falls victim to an attack and ends up battered in the town of Twotrees, whose citizens are mainly preoccupied with a fear of Liberty Valance, the very bandit who attacked Ransom. But the attorney is not to be intimidated and initiates a new era with education, law and elections. The duel for power and justice has begun. Which hero will win? In Dorothy M.
